🌿 Ecosomatic Counseling: Supporting Interconnectedness
This work is deeply relational, ecological, creative, and experimental. Traditional talk therapy locates the “problem” within the individual, assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness without acknowledging the systems of oppression which create it. Together we can reject this framing and instead open up to the collective way of understanding. We weren’t meant to do this alone, and we are never truly alone because everything is connected. The work becomes a process of allowing the awareness of our interconnectedness to come alive. As the world gets more and more complex and the collapse deepens, the need to expand our capacity and be with high levels of intensity increases. This work is ultimately about expanding capacity.
Each session is a collaborative space and we begin with a simple question: What’s alive for you right now? It might be a physical sensation, a recent interaction with a friend, an emotion, an image…we slow down and tune into what wants to unfold in the moment. My main ways of working include:
💚 Deeply attuned listening & authentic relating
I bring my whole self so you connect with a real human being, not an expert hiding behind a credential. I offer my full presence, realness, and heart-centered warmth, to create a space where you can share your whole self too. No topic, idea, words, or experience is off limits—you can bring the darkest of shadows, shame, and things you may have never allowed yourself to feel or say. All of you is honored and welcome here. I truly believe world peace starts with us—can we be with all of our contradictions, complexities, and messy bits? Can we extend that to others too? The more we allow space for everything to be welcome, the more capacity we have to be with others in their own messiness.
Some related modalities I draw on: Gestalt therapy, Authentic relating, Active listening, Existential therapy, Feminist therapy
🌿 Ecosomatic awareness
Traditional somatic work focuses on the individual’s body and nervous system, but this gives us an incomplete picture when everything and everyone is connected. Ecosomatics brings in collective awareness and supports connecting to our inner and outer ecosystems. When we can recognize that the same water, earth, fire, and air that surrounds us also flows through and makes up our own bodies, we are beginning to grasp the web of relations to which we belong. This is nothing new, this is something our ancestors knew and that indigenous people have know for thousands of years. The loss of connection to the land was the first step in losing access to this deep knowing, and through this work we reclaim this lost connection.
Some related modalities I draw on: Somatic therapy (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy), Ecospirituality, Nature therapy, Transpersonal psychology, Evolutionary Psychology, mindfulness, Parts work within an ecological, collective framing
✨ Creative Exploration
Our work can be delightfully playful, creative, and experimental. Exploring through art, play, movement, sound healing, writing, reading, nature walks, and other creative projects can lead to new insights and ways of thinking and experiencing.
Some related modalities I draw on: Art therapy, Play therapy, sound healing, journaling.
Common concerns I work with:
Coping with the overwhelm of global instability and collapsing systems
Processing ecological grief
Feeling isolated, alienated, alone, and disconnected
Existential dread, lack of meaning/purpose
Going through a personal collapse that mirrors the collective one, which you may describe as burn out
Navigating shame, privilege, and accountability
Dealing with high-conflict relationships or difficult communication dynamics
Spiritual crisis, spiritual awakening, plant medicine integrations
Getting to know the land and more-than-human world around you, building right relationship to the land
Exploring spirituality and meaning
Exploring alternative relationship structures or navigating relational change
Seeking grounding and steadiness during a period of uncertainty or grief
Ready to gently unpack the impact of trauma or difficult experiences in a non-pathologizing, body-aware space
Ancestral and lineage exploration and healing
Shifting away from or unlearning individualism while stepping into more collective ways of being and interconnectedness
Untethering from internalized oppression
Support to slow down, breathe, and listen inward
Exploring values, envisioning steps towards a more values-aligned life and community
We move at your pace, and you don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. If it’s heavy on your heart or hard to talk about elsewhere, we can start there.

-Multiple intersecting marginalized identities
A note about fees…
Capitalism sucks and yet still exists, so I do my best to make sessions financially accessible. I use a sliding scale that ranges from $120-$200. If you are a high income earner or more financially resourced I’ll ask you to put yourself on the high end of the scale. This makes it possible for me to stay resourced enough to keep doing this work while also making it possible to see folks who need to pay at the lower end of the scale. We’ll discuss rates at the first session if you decide to move forward working with me. I offer a free intro session so we can both sense if it’s a good fit.
Ready to begin?
I offer a free 50 minute intro session for us to chat and get to know one another. I look forward to meeting you! 🌱
